21 things I learnt and am still learning by 21

It's crazy to think I have turned 21, I feel old. All my friends are still 20 and I'll be collecting the jokes of being an 'oldie' from my boyfriend forever, even if we are only 11 months apart in age and have always been in the same school year. Especially in the last year or so I've really been feeling a change in myself, I've been growing in confidence and of course I still need to grow and learn things which is why some of this is still in the works and will be noted what I'm still working on, but I finally feel like I'm finding my feet with myself so here is 21 things I've learnt about myself and things I want to follow to make the next 21 years of my life the good ones.

Rules and Planning a Capsule Wardrobe

Not to long ago I came across Caroline's blog and fell in love with the idea of trying out the capsule wardrobe plan.

For those that don't know what a capsule wardrobe is, let me explain: It is a wardrobe made out of a certain amount of clothes that you ABSOLUTELY LOVE. For me personally at the moment I have sat down with my notebook and wrote a list of all the pieces I feel are essential to my own wardrobe and totalled the number of clothing to 39 items, including tops, jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, playsuits, jackets and shoes. But to be fair I haven't properly finalised it all so I could be adding a couple more, although I don't really want to go over 42 items of clothing. But for now I can tell 39 is more than enough and I can already make up a bundle of outfits with those 39 items.

Woodies Diner | Brighton

Woodies holds a very special place in my heart. If I lived the beach lifestyle I so desire (and have mentioned in my most recent post) then I'd hope to work in a place just like this to help fuel the dream. Whilst feasting on our food we were graced with soundtracks such as 'let the sunshine in' by fifth dimension which immediately took my thoughts straight to the ending of Recess: School Out (if you've never seen the film where have you been, it was a childhood classic!) It was kitted out like your authentic american diner with the retro chairs, that my thighs oh so gracefully stuck to and tiled flooring it was like being in america, not that I know what an actual american diner is like. I absolutely loved it, we even had the pleasure of watching Tom and Jerry on mute if we so desired!

I wanna live at the beach

For as long as I can remember (growing up with films like Little Mermaid and Lilo and Stitch helping to fuel the love of the water and beach) I've always loved the beach and the whole lifestyle that goes along with it. I love the idea so much that it becomes a daily thing for me to daydream about.

London, Chelsea | BRGR.CO

On the 12th of July Sam and I took a trip to London to see Ed Sheeran at Wembley. We went up early so that we could grab something to eat beforehand as we didn't really fancy something over priced at the stadium. We got off at Victoria Station as we were told there would be loads of restaurants about, but due to not really knowing our way around the area we couldn't find anything and our tummies were rumbling. We took to looking at one of the maps and realised we were able to walk to Sloane Square, so off we went as we kind of knew the area and I fancied making a cheeky trip to Brandy Melville. We quickly became frustrated as we realised we didn't know our way around this area too, but then we came across a little place called BRGR.CO. Sam and I are massive fans of burgers and tend to opt for them whenever they're offered, so we quickly went in and were seated.

Brighton | The Creperie

I really am one to go out for breakfast, or in this case brunch. Any chance I get I will get out and have pancakes or waffles due to the fact they're not really options at home and so when my friend and I decided for meet for brunch this was a first choice. I've been here a few times now and can never give
it a bad word right down to the decoration of the whole place.

Jo Malone | Hand and Arm Massage

About a week ago my friend and I walked past our local Jo Malone and my friend pulled out a card she had in her bag stating that she and a friend could go in for an hand and arm massage with a glass of champagne so we thought we'd go in and see if they had any spots open then and there and we were in luck!

Kefalonia | Secluded beaches, Fiskardo, Assos, Myrtos beach

It has been far too long since I touched this little space on the internet and let me tell you it has been horrible not blogging, but since I left for University in September my life has been a bit of a whirlwind. It's been busy busy busy, what with meeting new people and making friends. Being on placement in the new year and teaching little uns' and not forgetting the copious amounts of assignments that needed writing. Also during that time I've not really known anyone well enough to ask them to take part in helping me with my blog by taking outfit posts, but now being back at home in Brighton means there is more time to get back into my little blog and hopefully meeting my wonderful friends who I'll also be living with next year I'll be able to rope one or two of them into helping me continue filling this space when September rolls back around.
